Can Emotions Be Acidifying?
Ask yourself this question…
When I feel an emotion such as fear, guilt, nervousness or anxiety, how does my physical body respond? Perhaps…
- Flushed cheeks
- Heart palpitations
- Sweaty palms
- Muscles tighten
- Headache / migraines
- Stomach indigestion
- Stomach feels in knots
- Diarrhea
- Vomiting
- Nausea
…and the list goes on. Emotions can build up over time… just like dirty laundry. Read what happens in my house when that begins to happen! ===> “Declaring a Good Ole Fashioned Wash Day”!
Your emotions can actually be more acidifying than any food or drink!
A Steady Diet
When you suppress your emotions and keep a steady diet over a long period of time, they will definitely have an acidic/toxic effect on your entire body.

Be proactive. Be deliberate.
When you feel your emotions arise, take a moment to close your eyes, breath deep, de-stress and refocus. Perhaps take it a step further…
– Listen to worship music
– Meditate on your favorite scripture verse
– Let go of those things you have no control over.
– Give yourself lots of grace and room to grow
– Learn to Forgive – yourself and others
